How to reach Cortina

By coach

The easiest way to reach Cortina is by coach from Venezia: the Cortina Express bus service is available from/to Venezia Mestre train station and Venezia Marco Polo airport

You must purchase tickets in advance. 

To Cortina:

The service is available daily, twice a day, at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. from Venezia Mestre train station and, after 15 minutes, from Venezia Marco Polo airport. The travel requires approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes. Direct service from/to Bologna is also provided in the weekend only.

From Cortina:

Scheduled services of interest for participants to the Italian Networking Workshop are:

Friday Jan. 17: regular daily service at 8.30 and 11.30 a.m., departing from Cortina bus station to Venezia airport and Mestre train station (approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes)

Saturday Jan. 18: in addition to the regular daily service, two further buses depart at 6.30 a.m. to Venezia airport and Mestre train station, and at 8.30 a.m. to Bologna (approximately 4 hours)

Cortina Express also provides regular bus service to and from Treviso airport. See here for the timetable. In any case you must purchase the bus tickets in advance.

By Train

The main railway line is Venezia – Calalzo di Cadore, then transfer to Cortina by a connected bus service. The nearest railway station is at Calalzo di Cadore, 35 km away. The through journey from Venice to Cortina takes about 3,5 hours (train+bus). More information here
